Syre Saniyah is a Black, queer, transmasculine, polyamorous, and kinky healing practitioner devoted to the liberation and healing of those most impacted by systems of oppression. His work is rooted in a liberation-centered, multidimensional feminist perspective that honors collaboration, relationality, and embodied sovereignty. He understands energy work and psychedelic medicine as pathways for healing intergenerational wounds and returning to our original wholeness.

Syre is the Co-Founder and former Director of Programming of Cora Center, a queer- and BIPOC-led psilocybin service center in Portland, Oregon, created to center access for marginalized communities. He is a licensed psilocybin facilitator in both Oregon and Colorado and a nationally recognized psychedelic educator, having served as core faculty and Clinical Skills Practice Group Leader at Naropa University in the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Psilocybin Facilitation certificate programs. He has also taught with the Integrate Queer Facilitation Training, helping to shape the next generation of facilitators working at the intersections of queerness, transness, and medicine work.

Syre’s clinical and ceremonial formation includes MDMA-assisted psychotherapy training through MAPS, an OHA-approved certificate in Psilocybin Facilitation from Alma Institute, and a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies from Naropa University. He is a frequently invited speaker on psychedelics and liberation, most recently presenting Psychedelics for Black Trans Liberation at the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) conference in Lisbon, Portugal.

A licensed psychologist in private practice since 2010, Syre holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. His healing practice is deeply informed by embodied and ancestral traditions. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher (Hatha & Kemetic), a Level II Ra Sekhi Kemetic Energy Medicine practitioner, a Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master, and the founder of Liberation Reiki—a lineage of Reiki devoted to the energetic and intergenerational healing of BIPOC and queer communities.
