Sovereign Rootz is a 3-month initiatory mentorship for queer and trans BIPOC space-holders who are called to carry medicine in ways that are culturally rooted, relational, and liberation-centered. Moving through an arc from identity and diasporic lineage into energetic sovereignty, ancestral relationship, and collective models of care, we reconnect with our inherent ways of knowing, develop a cosmovision shaped by our peoples and lands, and unearth our ceremonial identity and leadership in forms that resist extraction and assimilation. This is a dedicated space where the complexities of navigating predominantly white healing fields can be named, metabolized, and transformed in community.
Together we explore ancestral consent and repair, practices for cultural protection, and the reclamation of ceremonial roles that were disrupted through colonization, displacement, and religious violence. We work with nervous system and energetic integrity in the context of racialized and gendered trauma, community accountability, ethical facilitation, and power that is held collectively rather than hierarchically. You will deepen your relationship with land, lineage, and spirit, while developing ritual and group practices that are responsive to the communities you come from and serve. Throughout the journey we honor psychedelic, somatic, and erotic life force as sacred and culturally situated technologies for healing and transformation.
Each module builds a grounded, community-responsive framework for holding space that is rooted in your lived experience and in right-relationship with your ancestors and descendants. The intention is to support the emergence of a practice that is grounded, collectively held, and sovereign to your people.
